Over the past 8 years, Lovell Stone Group has gone through a period of growth and we have celebrated many successes along the way. What has always, and will always be an important part of our business is the relationships we have with builders’ merchants.
They are a pivotal link that helps us understand better what’s happening locally and our eyes and ears picking up on trends and opportunities so that we can sell as much of our lovely building stone as possible and as they see so many customers on a daily basis, our stone has been flying out the yards and can now be seen within small gardening projects to larger residential schemes.
It’s also about flexibility and understanding the needs of the customer. Most merchants offer credit facilities, small delivery loads and really act as our own salesforce, out there in the branches offering great customer service, great products and great service.
But of course, we can only sell our stone if there is a demand for it and we are doing all we can to fly the flag for British stone. With the likes of Chicksgrove stone, there is a real opportunity to bring life back into any project by using quality, iconic local stone which is easily obtainable.
