Yesterday, Simon Hart (MD), James Hart (Sales Director) and Kate Robinson (Marketing Manager) visited Bath College to announce the results of the Hartham Park Bath Stone stonemasonry competition and award a cash prize to the winner.
Earlier in the year the students were given a block of Hartham Park Bath stone each and asked to create something that best represented what the World Heritage City of Bath meant to them.
Four entries were shortlisted and taken up to the Natural Stone Show in London last month where anyone visiting the Lovell Stone Group stand was asked to vote for their favourite.
Hundreds of people voted and the competition was incredibly close with only a few percent between second, third and fourth places. The winner however, with just over 30% of the votes, was David Lambard’s fabulous sculpture of Bath’s iconic Pulteney Bridge.
The standard of all the entries was exceptional and Lovell Stone Group would like to thank Bath College and all the students who entered for making the competition such a memorable event.
